The best time of the year is here, March Madness. Sixty-eight teams, sixty-seven games, exciting teams, one winner. The tournament starts Tuesday, March 17th, with the First Four in Dayton, Ohio. Then the round of 64 starts on Thursday, March 19th. Yet, with the conference tournaments being played out this week, the seeding for the NCAA tournament. This year has been a very competitive and exciting year of College Basketball. These are my teams that I have competing in the Elite 8.
Michigan Wolverines: Michigan is almost a guaranteed lock for a 1 seed. They have been very dominant all year. They really don’t have a weakness on their roster. I will be surprised if they don’t make the Elite Eight.
Duke Blue Devils: Cameron Boozer will carry this team to the Elite Eight. Dame Sarr is going to be crucial to this team for shooting. Their offense attack is a great and very well-rounded team. Duke will win it all.
Florida Gators: Florida is on the bubble between a 1 seed and a 2 seed. Thomas Haugh is an outstanding player, and he won’t go out early. The reigning national champions will go back to the Elite Eight.
Michigan St: The Spartans are always a tough team to play in March. They have had lots of good wins this year, and they keep it up in the Madness. I’m a big fan of Coen Carr; he gets some crazy dunks in the games.
Kansas: Even with the recent struggles, Kansas gets the job done. They have a great player in Darryn Peterson, a possible number one draft pick in the next NBA draft. With their inconsistency, they could either be bounced out in the first round or make a deep run.
Houston: They have a star point guard, Kingston Flemings. Emmanuel Sharp and Flemings will make some clutch threes to get them to the Elite Eight. It would be surprising if they got bounced out before the Elite Eight.
Saint Mary’s: I wanted to pick a mid-tier team, and I chose Saint Mary’s. They have a really good record, so I like the pick. Not much insight because they aren’t in the national spotlight.
VCU: Even with a projected 11 seed, this team is really good. They had a great win against Dayton, and they will be making the Elite Eight.
