Nuggets Vs Timberwolves Game 4 was a movie. Game 4 was on Saturday, April 25th. The Wolves started the game out with a 2-1 lead in the series. It’s a must-win game for the Nuggets to not fall to one win and 3 losses in the series. This game is an eye-opener for the Wolves as they look forward to taking a 3-1 series lead.
The game started as a catastrophe for the Timberwolves. Only one minute into the game, Donte DiVincenzo suffered a non-contact injury. It was later deemed to be an Achilles tear, which will end Donte’s season. This was so brutal for the T-Wolves as Divincenzo is arguably the best shooter on the team. The first quarter ended as the Nuggets were up by 1 with the score 23-22.
The 2nd quarter was going fine, as both teams were going neck and neck and struggling to create separation. The disaster happened, and Anthony Edwards went down. Edwards landed awkwardly on his left leg and failed to get up. He suffered a Left knee hyperextension and a bone bruise. Edwards will not return to the game.
Without two crucial players for the Timberwolves, someone needed to step up and win this game. Ayo Dosunmu steps up to that responsibility. Ayo played great in the 1st half, scoring 16 points. The Timberwolves ended the first half down 4 points. The Wolves came out hot to start the 2nd half. Ayo Dosunmu had 12 points and had a true shooting percentage of 126.1% in the quarter. The Timberwolves outscore the Nuggets by 8 points in the quarter.
This is the star moment. His team is up 4 to start the fourth quarter; his team needs him. What does he do? He drops a casual 15 points and no turnovers in the 4th quarter to lead the Timberwolves to a 112-96 win. The new Minnesota hero scores a career high 43 points and leads the Wolfpack to a 3-1 series lead over the 3-seeded Denver Nuggets.
