In light of recent issues in the U.S, celebrities have been using their voices to speak up about ICE in protest of what is happening within the Trump administration, and its impact on our country. From speeches at the Grammys to encouraging their fans to fight for what they believe in and make a change. 

At the 2026 Grammys, it very quickly became a wake-up call for America. With such a big event like this that is solely about music and entertainment turning so political, just how upset and frustrated everyone in the U.S is became evident. Many celebrities, such as Billie Eilish, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kehlani, Carole King, and Joni Mitchell, made a statement on the red carpet by wearing pins that said “Ice Out.” 

Numerous celebrities included messages in their Grammy acceptance speeches, such as Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Dean. During Bad Bunny’s speech, he called out those discriminating against immigrants. “We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens,” he said. “We are humans, and we are Americans.” Billie Eilish did the same, “F**k Ice,” and “No one is illegal on stolen land,” she said. 

Mark Ruffalo did not speak at the Grammys but was vocal about defending Billie Eilish following the mass amount of criticism she faced for speaking up. All of this was at the Grammys alone; many have attended protests, spoken up on social media, donated to causes against ICE, etc. There is always something we can all be doing to better our country and stand up for what’s right.
