Ben Nguyen is a sophomore at Lakota West. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, and is a South Vietnamese American, being the first generation of South Vietnamese to be born outside of Vietnam. Currently, the SGA sophomore representative, Ben joined The West Press because of his liking for writing, news, and contributing to the school’s newspaper. He loves politics, history, and social studies overall. Some goals Ben has set for himself include the Air Force, the Ohio Governor’s mansion, and the Oval Office, which he plans on achieving. An extrovert to those who know him, he’s always ready to jump into a good conversation and reminisce with good friends. His other interests are drawing, architecture, design, philosophy, and the quest for knowledge.
