KATSEYE is back at it again, with their newest single “PINKY UP.” The song was released on April 9th, 2026, and was the opener for their first-ever Coachella set.
Katseye is a six-member girl group under HYBE X Geffen, a collaboration of the K-pop and American industries. They were formed during the hit Netflix survival show POP STAR ACADEMY: KATSEYE. The group consists of six members: Sophia, Lara, Manon, Megan, Daniela, and Yoonchae.
The group rose to fame with their first single, “Debut,” which was released in June of 2024. They quickly gained more attention with their song “Touch,” but really drew in the crowds with their hit song “Gnarly,” which was released in April 2025. Since then, the girls have released their second EP, Beautiful Chaos, in late 2025. They went on a US tour for this album, performing at 16 shows across North America. In early 2026, Katseye was nominated for two Grammy’s and performed “Gnarly” at the award ceremony. They also performed at the VMAs and the Kids’ Choice Awards.
In September of 2025, the girls were announced to be performing at Coachella in 2026. However, in February of 2026, Katseye member Manon announced a temporary hiatus. She has been on break since then, and was not featured in “PINKY UP,” or the Coachella performance.
Yet, even in Manon’s absence, the rest of the girls performed a solid set. They performed an 11-song set, starting with “PINKY UP” and ending with “Gnarly”. At one point, Lara pointed out content creator Carter Kench in the crowd, who was dressed as a pinky finger. In a surprising moment, the members of HUNTRIX (the fictional Kpop group from Kpop Demon Hunters) came out to sing the hit song “Golden” with the members.
During their set, Katseye promised their fans that many more performances were to come. Listen to their new song “PINKY UP” on Spotify or Apple Music now!
