On August 15th, singer Conan Gray released his fourth studio album, Wishbone. He began the Wishbone Pajama Show tour in September, and started the Wishbone World Tour in February.
The album took listeners on a journey of love, heartbreak, and all the feelings in between, with music videos accompanying three of the songs. Overall, Wishbone felt like a story, and fans were sad that it was over. But it turns out there was more to tell.
On March 21st, Conan made a post on Instagram announcing that a new song, “The Best”, which was played on his tour, would be released on March 27th. Also, four more completely new songs would be released on April 24th as a part of Wishbone Deluxe. He called these new songs “the next chapter of wishbone. these songs aren’t ‘leftovers’—they were written on tour, in hotel rooms, and in my bedroom over the past few months. they are the continuation of the story.”
Fans speculated that “The Best” would be accompanied by a music video continuing the story from Wishbone, but there wasn’t one. However, there is still a chance that a music video will be released with one or more of the four untitled songs.
Stream Wishbone Deluxe on April 24th.
