Heesung is a member of the boy K-pop band Enhypen. The band consists of seven members, now six. The members contained Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki.
Enhypen is one of the most popular K-pop groups among men, who are 4th-generation hit singers and dancers. They debuted in 2020 and soon won the hearts of many fans.
However, due to recent change of events, the group shifted. Enhypen works under the company of Hybe who is currently receiving backlash for Newjeans and the Katseye dilemma. Heesung’s leaving is only making Hybe’s image worse. Enhypen started on November 30, 2020, when they made their first debut under the EP Border: day one. Since then, they’ve sold over a million copies of their album and even won awards such as Prada global ambassadors in 2023. The 9Enhypen listeners go by ENGENE following the concept of dark pop, going from R&B to pop-rock. The visuals contain dark elements and edgy aesthetics. Thanks to multiple hits, they were able to pay off the debt they racked up from attending K-pop training school.
As their debt gets paid off, Heesung decided it’s time for him to shine alone. Heesung has been an official member of Enhypen for 5 years and 3 months, which came to an end in late March. Fans were devastated by his leave as he was one of the most popular members of Enhypen. Hybe put out an official statement stating that his visuals weren’t aligning with what he wanted. Heesung wanted to shine more and create his own music, as the group was holding him back. He claimed he wanted to be independent and make his own music career. Heesung thanked his fans for the support and promised to make more music in the future. As of now, many fans are left shocked and anticipate what comes next.
