On June 18th, 2024, singer, songwriter, and actor Justin Timberlake was arrested on the count of a DWI. Timberlake was in Sag Harbor, New York, when he got pulled over for running a stop sign and swerving in the left side of the road. Later on in court, Timberlake took the plea deal and pleaded guilty, resulting in a $500 fine with a $260 surcharge in addition to 25 hours of community service and his license suspended for 90-days.
Now almost 2 years later the bodycam footage of that night was released, or at least some of it was. The bodycam footage of the night was released on March 21st, 2026, following a settlement battle between the Village of Sag Harbor and Justin Timberlake’s legal team. Timberlake claimed that if the footage was released it would do “irreparable harm” to his reputation, leading Timberlake and his legal team to sue, blocking the release of the footage. However, the video was found to not break any privacy laws.
Since the release of the footage, it’s been blowing up on social media due to comments Timberlake made, such as “uhh…it’s hard to explain…I’m Justin Timberlake” and “…white?… I’m just kidding man” he says joking with the arresting officer. As of March 23rd 2026, Justin Timberlake hasn’t made any comments to the release of the video, though people urge him to make a statement.
