March Madness
The Division I NCAA tournament, commonly known as March Madness, is one of the most anticipated times of the year for sports fans. The tournament divides 68 teams into four regions—West, South, Midwest, and East—each having 16 teams. The teams are placed into regions based on competitive seeding to ensure the most balanced bracket possible. The tournament begins with the “First Four” games, where 8 teams play to cut the number of teams from 68 to 64. It then moves into the round of 64, 32, and so on until the last 2 teams are left. This year’s tournament has the “First Four” games on March 17th, with the rest of the tournament kicking off on March 18th.
