The MLB season is almost here, and here are my National League predictions. I’m starting with the worst records, leading my way up to the best. The worst record is the Rockies at 50-112. There has not been much improvement from the team this offseason. At 14, there are the Nationals at 58-104. They have a bunch of young guys who aren’t very experienced. At number 13, the San Francisco Giants at 62-100. I think they underperform and leave fans frustrated. At number 12, I have the Pirates at 66-96. I definitely see them making the playoffs in the next few years, but not this year. At number 11, the Arizona Dbacks are at 72-90. Bad year for an average team. At number 11, I have the St.Louis Cardinals at 75-87. A very injury-prone team that I think will struggle with injuries.
Middle of the pack teams
At number 9, I have the Marlins at 78-84. I like their young core, but I think they fall short of the playoffs. At number 8, I have the Mets at 81-81. Very average season from a team that fell just short of the playoffs last year. Number 7, I have the Cubs at 82-80. I think they underperform from last year and fall just short of the playoffs. At number 6 with the last playoff spot, I have the Braves at 84-78. I really like their squad and an improvement from last year.
TOP 5
Number 5 with a playoff spot, I have the Padres at 86-76. At number 4, I have the Reds at 88-74. Might be biased since they’re my favorite team, but that’s what I got for them. Number 3 and winning the NL Central, I have the Brewers at 94-68. Number 2 and winning the NL East, I have the Phillies at 101-61. Finally, the #1 team in the NL, I have the back-to-back World Series Dodgers at 104-58.
