Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears have 7 game-winning drives this season, and there is no coincidence why. Williams earned the nickname “Iceman” throughout the year and proved why he deserves this name in the first playoff game of his career.
The Bears earned their first playoff win in nearly 15 years on Saturday night, and it was one of the best games of the 2025-2026 season. Chicago was down 21-3 at halftime and looked hopeless. The Bears then proceeded to put up 25 4th quarter points, the most in the 4th quarter of a playoff game since 1934, to help secure the win. The defense came to life in the second half, largely due to a great scheme by defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. Rookie tight end Colston Loveland added 137 yards in his playoff debut, along with D.J. Moore having 64 yards and a touchdown. The Bears couldn’t have completed the comeback without all these impacts, but the biggest impact of all was from their second-year quarterback, Caleb Williams.
Caleb Williams and the Bears didn’t start the game as they planned, but it’s not how you start; it’s how you finish. Chicago’s offense flipped a switch towards the end of the game, led by Caleb Williams’ incredible fourth-quarter heroics. Caleb threw for 184 yards and 2 touchdowns in the fourth quarter, along with making many clutch throws on 3rd and 4th down. Caleb started getting called “Iceman” after their week 10 come-from-behind victory over the Giants and has continued to prove why he’s good under pressure every week.
