Some people love to see their music habits, especially how they’ve changed throughout the year. With the 2025 year coming to an end, Apple Music released its users’ replay of the year on December 2, 2025. Subscribers can now see which albums, genres, and artists they listened to the most this year.
What is Apple Replay?
Apple Replay is an annual highlight reel of your listening habits over the course of the year. The app takes that data and compiles it into a personalized playlist for users to go back to at any time. In order to get the data, Apple uses AI to collect the data and create the playlists.
This year, Apple added new features such as Discovery and Comeback. Discovery showcases new artists you added, and Comeback showcases recurring artists in your music rotation.
In addition, Apple Music creates a playlist that aligns with your stats for your top songs/artists that is updated weekly until the end of the year. The top songs of the year include: Rose and Bruno Mars, “Apt”, Kendrick Lamar and SZA, “Luther”, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile”, etc.
Interview with an Apple Music Subscriber
Many fans have varying opinions of the Apple Replay results; some believe the results were almost exactly accurate, while others believe the results made no sense at all.
According to an everyday Apple Music user and Lakota West student, Raigan Pelletier, “I liked [my results], they felt very accurate to what I listen to on the daily.” As someone who uses the app every single day, she can make sense of all of the songs, artists, and genres that were on her replay.
She says, “I mean, I listen to a whole bunch of different music all the time, so it kind of like helped me see what I recently started listening to and what I’ve always listened to.” As a fan of the app, she approves of the Apple Replay, especially the one from this year.
All in all, the 2025 Apple Replay was widely enjoyed and appreciated by its users, with positive feedback on their results and the new features. Apple Music will continue to come out with its Replay each year, so be prepared to restart your Replay data for the new year.
