After Buffalo scored 21 fourth-quarter points, including two defensive touchdowns, Cincinnati secured its ninth loss of the season
Game Summary
Burrow played absolutely lights out for the vast majority of the game, with 284 yards and 4 touchdowns. Unfortunately, his two mistakes cost them big. Late in the fourth, Burrow threw back-to-back passes that were intercepted by DB Christian Benford and DL A.J. Epenesa, and both were returned for touchdowns. This late-game swing put the Bills up two possessions, which was enough to win the game. QB Josh Allen also played nearly perfect football, with over 300 total yards and 4 total touchdowns. He did his damage with his tight ends, who combined for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns. Dawson Knox had over 90 receiving yards, becoming the fourth tight end to hit this mark against the Bengals in their last five games. Higgins was Joe’s number one option with over 90 yards and 2 touchdowns, including an incredible one-handed catch in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, Tee also ended his night with a second concussion in three weeks.
It’s Over.
With this loss, the Bengals’ playoff odds drop to a whopping 2%. It also assures Cincy’s first losing season since 2020-21, Burrow’s rookie season. Zac Taylor is increasingly looking like he’s on the hot seat, with many fans calling for his firing.
I try to end these articles in a positive way, with hopes for the future. At this point, I don’t have much left. Life as a Bengals fan looks very bleak as of now. At least we still have Joe Cool…
