FC Cincinnati Loan In Argentine winger Luca Orellano

FC Cincinnati Loan In Argentine winger Luca Orellano

FC Cincinnati has agreed to bring Argentine winger Luca Orellano on a season-long loan from Brazilian side Vasco da Gama.

The 23-year-old will be with FCC until December when FCC will then have the option to make the deal permanent once the loan ends for $3 Million.

Luca was a highly touted prospect when first coming through the ranks, playing for Argentine side Velez Sarsfield over 100 times, making his debut at only 18. He would receive heavy interest from many of the biggest sides in the world, including FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, but instead would make a move at the beginning of 2023 to Vasco da Gama.

The winger joined Vasco de Gama at the beginning of 2023 and has since played 25 times for the Brazilian side, scoring two goals and grabbing one assist.

FC Cincinnati has a good history of signing former players from Velez Sarsfield, as top defender Alvaro Barreal signed in 2020 for just over $1 Million.

FC Cincinnati starts its 2024 MLS season with a home match against Toronto on February 25th but will play Cavilar SC on the 22nd in the first of 2 legs in the first round of the CONCACAF Champions League.
