
TruFru, a popular snack company known for their delicious freeze-dried fruits, has called for a “re-call” as of September 29th, 2025. Only 3 days prior, The company announced the re-call September 26th when a customer received a product that contained metal in it. TruFru’s Freeze-dried strawberries dipped in dark and white chocolate, as well as their Freeze-dried Strawberries & Creme, are the only products that have been affected by the contamination. These snacks have been spread through the U.S and may appear in stores like CVS, Food Lion, H-E-B, Hungryroot, Ingles Market, Kroger, Stew Leonard’s and Target according to the FDA (food and drug administration).
As of right now, the source of the metal contamination has not yet been disclosed by the company,but to prevent any future harm, TruFru wants all consumers who purchased the snacks to look for a code on the bag that starts with “520d”.
