Multi-time Grammy winner, Kali Uchis, claims to be now pulling a song from her discography that she was featured in with another popular artist, D4vd, who is now facing serious allegations of being involved in a homicide.
D4vd is a well-known music artist who has gained attention in recent years for his unique and well-produced style of music. He’s reached millions of streams across multiple music platforms with songs like Romantic Homicide and Here With Me. However, this is until recent events.
On September 8th, 2025, the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was found in the trunk of an impounded Tesla vehicle that was registered to D4vd himself. Her condition was often described as “severely decomposed” by multiple news platforms. According to Global News, the investigation is now being ruled a homicide, with D4vd as a heavily involved suspect.
Kali Uchis and D4vd recorded Crashing (ft. Kali Uchis), with its release back in February of 2025. Remezcla reports that D4vd had also co-wrote a song on her most recent album, Sincerely, called “It’s Just Us”.
In one of Kali Uchis’ recent Instagram posts, someone had commented that her “friend”, referring to D4vd, was a murderer. Although this wasn’t the only targeted comment made about the recent situation, Uchis choice only this one to respond to.
She replies, “Not my friend i did a song with him which is currently in the process of being taken down given todays disturbing news,”.
We still have yet to see if their partnered music will remain streamable, or even which of the two projects she is referring to. But Uchis has certainly earned the respect of many fans who are grieving the loss of Celeste by demoting D4vd’s music.
