In light of recent news, well-known singer D4vd is under investigation for the potential involvement in the death of teenage girl Celeste Rivas. He has now canceled the remainder of his U.S. tour following the breakout of this news.
Starting back in April of 2024, Rivas was reported missing at only 13 years old. On September 8th of this year, her remains were discovered in the back of an abandoned Tesla in the Hollywood Hills. The Tesla was later confirmed to be registered to David Anthony Burke, who performs as the sensation ‘D4vd’. Although the investigation remains open, all signs are pointing to the singer.
Some disturbing details that lead back to David include alleged matching tattoos on both of their index fingers, saying “Shhh” and “Celeste_Demo unfin,” which was an unreleased, leaked song. A teacher from Rivas school confirmed that she had met someone who is believed to be Burke on social media and had planned to meet up with him in Hollywood. Many people in her life have confirmed that she was likely in a relationship with Burke. One of Rivas’ classmates, Aubrey Domingo, said, “I feel really bad for what happened to her because this story is really messed up, I don’t even know what to say.” in light of hearing the heartbreaking news.
As far as what is next for Burke and his career, he has already canceled the remainder of his tour, and other artists and brands that had collaborated with Burke have expressed their disgust with the rumors and have or are in the process of getting those collabs removed from the media. Crocs and Hollister suspended their collaboration with the singer for their “Dream Drop” campaign. Singer Kali Uchis has confirmed that she is in the process of having her song “Crashing” which she made with Burke, revoked from all streaming platforms. As of right now, things aren’t looking good for Burke. Regardless of whether or not the singer committed this heinous crime, having a romantic relationship with someone of such a young age is enough in itself to tarnish his reputation forever.
