It’s official, Taylor and Travis are getting married! It’s been a long time coming! After around 2 years of dating, the couple have put a ring on it. From Travis having just a single friendship bracelet and a dream, to a life changing love story that has shaped who both of them have become, let’s see what’s in store for these two!
Taylor and Travis started dating in July of 2023, not long after Travis attended her show at the Eras Tour in Kansas City. What made this meet-cute so special was that Travis had made it known that he wanted Taylor to receive a friendship bracelet he had made for her, as friendship bracelets were a huge part of ‘The Eras Tour’. On him and his brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, Travis revealed that he was “butthurt” that he wasn’t able to meet Taylor at the Kansas City show.
After 2 years of dating, the announcement of the engagement was made through a joint Instagram post on both Taylor and Travis’s Instagram accounts. The post was made with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” using a snippet from Taylor’s song about Travis, “So High School”. Travis popped the question back in his mansion in Kansas City. Although the engagement was made public, Kelce’s father has stated that the two were engaged for a couple weeks before making the announcement. The duo has assured that they intend for the wedding to be a “private affair” and not become a “spectacle” for the public view.
An insider that spoke for People magazine has stated that the couple “want to keep it more private,” and followed by saying they plan to tie the knot at Taylor’s well known Rhode Island mansion in what could possibly be as soon as summer 2026. Who knows what the future holds for this couple, but both of their fans are wishing them nothing but unconditional happiness and success in their futures together. With Taylor having an album set to release in October, and Travis just starting up his season as the Tight End for the Chiefs, these two will keep each other busy.
