Everyone at Lakota West knows AJ Bohrer as a manager for the football team and for having one of the most contagious smiles in the halls. We asked AJ a few questions to highlight his personality.
What are you looking forward to most, after graduation?
AJ states that he “want[s] to get a job, but [doesn’t] know where,” but did mention a potential program, Project Life 101, a work-study program at Butler Tech.
What advice do you give your football team on Friday nights?
AJ said that he chants “Game Day!” and “Bring the win to the Firebirds!” to the football team before every game to pump them up.
If you could have superpowers, which would you want to have?
AJ isn’t a big fan of superhero movies, and while he thinks that many superpowers are cool, he said, “I would like to be AJ, just normal.”
What is your favorite memory from high school?
AJ said that he’s excited about “being a senior” but that he’s also “a little nervous, a little bit of both.” AJ is also part of the work-study program at school and he works in the workroom, filing papers. He told us that the job is “easy, easy, easy.”
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
AJ told us that he participates in the Special Olympics, specifically the bowling team. AJ also plays basketball and plays percussion in the Lakota West school band. His favorite sports teams are “the Bengals and Reds,” and he said that he is also a fan of Ohio State.
What is your favorite part about Friday game days?
“Well, Friday is always game day; I get my head in the game. I think [my favorite part] is the team meals.”
