The title of song of the month for February goes to “Luther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. The song reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 to round out the month of February. It is the third single from Lamar’s latest album gnx, and was also performed by him and SZA at the Super Bowl on February 9th.
Album of the Month:
The title of album of the month for February goes to Hurry Up Tomorrow by The Weeknd. Hurry Up Tomorrow is the last album that Abel Tesfaye is said to release as The Weeknd. It reached No.1 on the Billboard 200, and rounded out the month of February at the No.6 spot.
Artist of the Month:
The title of artist of the month for February goes to Kendrick Lamar. Lamar is at the current peak of his career, winning five Grammys on February 2nd for his hit song “Not Like Us” and then performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show just a week later. “Not Like Us” as well as multiple tracks from his album gnx, like “Luther,” “TV Off,” and “Squabble Up,” have also placed within the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Super Bowl Halftime Show
Kendrick Lamar put on a performance to remember at the Super Bowl earlier this month. He performed some of his most popular hits as well as songs from his latest album gnx. Lamar was also joined by special guest SZA to perform their songs “All The Stars” and “Luther.” The show also had appearances from actor Samuel L. Jackson, dressed in an Uncle Sam costume, and Serena Williams, who was seen crip walking when Lamar’s hit song “Not Like Us” played, which is about William’s ex-boyfriend and fellow rapper, Drake.
