As kids step foot in their school they have an abundance of choices for lunch. They walk in the cafeteria lunch line and wait for their food. What’s on the menu today? Early childhood schools have a choice of the main meal, such as chicken sandwiches, cheeseburgers/hamburgers, and pizza. Of course, those meals come with healthy fruit or vegetables and their choice of milk (regular, chocolate, and strawberry).
Next up is the elementary schools, Their lunch consists of the choice of the main meal, Pizza, Chicken sandwiches, Cheeseburgers/Hamburgers. They also get a fruit or vegetable and the pick of a milk. For an upcharge, they can also get snacks which can be anything like a cookie, bag of chips, ice cream, and muffins/donuts.
Now they are on to junior high, and their menu has the choice in the main meal and all of the other choices said above but now they have a salad bar, cold sandwiches, fries/mashed potatoes/tater tots, and Bosco sticks. They also have extra snacks you can buy with an upcharge. The snacks they provide are cookies, ice cream, chips, muffins/donuts, rice Krispy treats, etc.
Finally, the high school, on the menu has a big selection starting with the main meal of the day, Texmex, Bosco sticks, pizza, cold sandwiches/wraps, Cheeseburgers/Hamburgers, salads, fries/tater tots, and Bibbop comes on some Thursdays. They also have the choice of many snacks like chips, cookies, and lots of different soft drinks, sparkling water, and milk.
The main meal is the same throughout all school districts and every Tuesday they all have chicken nuggets and mashed potatoes. Some schools will bring in Domino pizza for an extra charge.
