It’s safe to say 2025 is looking to be the year of TV releases. From highly anticipated final seasons of some of the most beloved fan favorite series, to all new releases to look forward to, it looks like the Oscars are gonna be a tough competition next year. 

Some of the new seasons of some beloved Netflix fan favorites consist of ‘Stranger Things Season 5’ coming November 27th 2025, ‘Squid Game; season 3’ coming June 27th 2025, ‘Cobra Kai; season 6 part 3’ coming February 13th 2025, and ‘Wednesday Stranger Things coming to an end is a hard fact to accept as it is the 2nd most popular Netflix series of all time, and dates back all the way to 2016 when the first season was released. Not to mention the infamous ‘Squid Game’ that sets the record of being the most watched series of Netflix. 

Speaking of setting records, ‘Wednesday’ has the record for the most popular series on Netflix, topping ‘Stranger Things’. ‘Wednesday Season 2’ is amongst one of the other series that will have all new seasons this year. Netflix released season 1 of the hit show back in November of 2022, and 3 years later we are finally nearing the release of an all new season. Other shows with new seasons include, ‘House of the Dragon’, ‘Abbott Elementary’, ‘The Boys’, ‘The Umbrella Academy’. Etc.

On top of all these hit shows releasing all new seasons, there will be many all new releases. For example, “Avatar: The Last Airbender” will be added to Netflix on February 22 and is the very anticipated live action adaptation. ‘Fallout’ is another live action adaptation of the hit video game, and will be released on Prime Video on April 12th. Safe to say 2025 will be nothing short of the year of TV series.
