With 2024 ending, we are getting new information and teasers about movies coming out in 2025. One of the most talked about movie releases is the Minecraft movie. Although the 1-minute and 20-second trailer didn’t show too much of the movie, it did give watchers some idea of what this movie will be about. 

One thing watchers do know is that the trailer has over 1 million dislikes on YouTube, and the critics are eating the movie up like a turkey dinner. Forbes says, “I do not understand the decision to have live-action actors in the Minecraft world, when Minecraft translates so incredibly well to animation. The green screen here is horrendous.” Many seem to agree since it has already received a lot of hate, they already find the movie a failure. Although surprising with all of the popular actors including Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Jack Black, and Jennifer Coolidge making a feature within this film.

With the release, many are wondering what the production process was like.

 “Initially it was scheduled to be released on May 24, 2019, but on April 26, 2019, Warner Bros. delayed the film to March 4, 2022. On October 6, 2020, Warner Bros. removed the film from the release schedule due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and to avoid direct competition with The Batman (2022).” 

Many are not looking forward to this movie, but some are curious to see how badly this movie will play out, and if it has any chance of succeeding.
