Song of the Month:

The title of song of the month for April goes to “Fortnight” by Taylor Swift ft. Post Malone. The song was released as the first song on Swift’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, and quickly became very popular, reaching the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has reached over 100 million streams on Spotify, and is just one of many songs from the album that is garnering massive attention and popularity.

Album of the Month:

The title of album of the month for April goes to The Tortured Poets Department by Taylor Swift. The album quickly became April’s most anticipated album when it was announced at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this year. The album quickly became the most pre-saved album in Spotify’s history, and when it was released on April 19th it quickly garnered millions of streams. The album was revealed to be a double album two hours after the initial release with The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology releasing with an additional 15 songs. The album reached the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 to round out the month of April.

Artist of the Month:

The title of artist of the month for March goes to Taylor Swift. This month was a big one for the pop star. Her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, was released on April 19th and quickly broke many records. She rose back to the No.1 spot on Billboard Artist 100, a title she had held for 106 weeks before.

Record Breaking Release:

It is no surprise that Taylor Swift’s latest album The Tortured Poets Department was going to break records upon its release. The day after its release, Spotify announced that the album was the first to reach 300 million streams in a single day on the platform, and five days later, the album also became the fastest to reach one billion streams. The Tortured Poets Department also had songs occupying all Top 10 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 and nine of the Top 10 spots on the Billboard Global 200 to round out the month of April.
