Riley Strain, a 22-year-old senior at the University of Missouri went missing on March 8th, 2024 in Nashville Tennessee. Strain traveled to Music City with his fraternity brothers, drank on Broadway, and never returned to his hotel. He was last seen on street cameras wandering the streets, seeming pretty intoxicated, around 9:45 pm.
His friends reported him missing a whole 16 hours after his last sighting. Some say this is suspicious behavior especially because the brothers got lawyers immediately after returning home.
After two long weeks of searching, his body was found in the Cumberland River approximately 8 miles from where he was last seen.
The initial autopsy on Strain’s body revealed no signs of foul play.
‘“Continued to appear accidental with no foul play-related trauma,” Says the examiner.
The family ordered another autopsy and found that there was no water in his lungs. This new information is raising concerns about how he died.
This is still an open case and his family won’t stop until they have answers.
