Song of the Month:
The title of February’s song of the month goes to “Texas Hold ‘Em” by Beyoncé. The song was released during Super Bowl LVIII following a Verizon commercial she starred in. “Texas Hold ‘Em” is Beyoncé’s first song in the country genre, and after initial speculation of the song being able to succeed, it quickly rose to secure the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 to round out the month of January, beating out the former No.1 song on the chart, “Lovin On Me” by Jack Harlow.
Album of the Month:
The title of February’s album of the month goes to Kanye West’s album, Vultures 1, which he collaborated with Ty Dolla $ign on. The album quickly gained in popularity, and ended the month of February in the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200. The album is the first of three anticipated albums expected to be released by West later this year, with the other two being Vultures 2 and Vultures 3.
Artist of the Month:
The title of February’s artist of the month goes to Teddy Swims. Swims song “Lose Control” gained in popularity after its 2023 release, rising towards the top of the Billboard Hot 100 at the beginning of 2024, peaking at No.2.

The title of comeback song of the month goes to “Yeah!” by Usher ft. Lil Jon and Ludacris. The song came back into popularity following Usher’s Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Performance. Initially released in 2004, the song re-entered the Billboard Hot 100, rounding out the month at No.47.
Tour Tracker:
Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour has still been filling up stadiums around the world. The pop superstar played four packed shows in Tokyo, Japan and seven in Australia, three in Melbourne and four in Sydney. Olivia Rodrigo also started her Guts World Tour, in which she played shows in Palm Springs, California, Phoenix, Arizona, Houston, Texas, and Austin, Texas.
Music Highlight of the Month:
Singer Cat Janice’s song “Dance Outta My Head” went viral this month after she was diagnosed with cancer, resulting in her entering hospice. Janice had all of her songs and their future proceeds transferred over to her seven-year-old son, Loren. “Dance Outta My Head” reached No.1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50, as well as securing multiple top 10 placements on other various charts. Cat Janice passed away on February 28th at the age of 31.
Anticipation Station:
Taylor Swift has been on a roll the past few years, releasing new and re-recorded albums, and 2024 is no exception. Announced during her acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards at the beginning of the month, The Tortured Poets Department will be Swift’s eleventh studio album. It has a release date set for April 19th, 2024. Swifties have also been highly anticipating the re-release of her album Reputation, which could potentially be released the second half of the year or early next year.
Dua Lipa is expected to release her third album this year following the release of her singles “Houdini” and “Training Season”. Ariana Grande’s single “yes, and?” was released in January, followed by an announcement of her album Eternal Sunshine, which has a release date set for March 8th, 2024. Kanye West is also set to release follow up albums to his latest album Vultures 1, with Vultures 2 set with a release date for March 8th, 2024, and Vultures 3 to be released April 5th, 2024, however, West has proven to be inconsistent with the releases of his albums, and the current release dates could change.
