Music ’24: January Edition

Music 24: January Edition

Song of the Month:

The title of January’s song of the month goes to “yes, and?”, the latest single by Ariana Grande. The song reached No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has remained on the charts ever since its release on January 12th. The song seems to reference the negative publicity Grande has received following allegations that actor Ethan Slater cheated on his wife Lilly Jay with her. Ariana and Ethan met on the set of the 2024 movie “Wicked”, which they both star in. Slater’s character in the movie is also said to be in love with Grande’s character. The song “yes, and?” makes direct reference to the negative publicity she has received from the allegations with the lyrics “Your business is yours and mine is mine.” Aside from the drama and allegations surrounding the song, it has still become one of the top songs to start of 2024.
