The end of 2020 is quickly approaching and with COVID cases higher than ever, it is important to find fun activities while keeping yourself and others healthy over Winter break. Since the holidays are all about giving over receiving, online shopping may be the way to go this year. Giving a great gift can really warm someone’s heart in these uncertain times. Ice skating is also a great experience, which is available at Northland Ice Center and UC Health Ice Rink. One of my personal favorite activities is decorating. Whether it’s the tree, my room, or the house, I love all of the festivity surrounding the holidays. Of course, many of these activities include spending time with your family, which is a win-win. One of the greatest parts of the holiday season is the movies and songs constantly playing. Listening, singing, and watching are mood changers for the good, especially Elf and Home Alone, which are, in my opinion, absolutely hilarious. Looking at Christmas lights is another one of my favorites. Especially at night, the outdoor decorations light up the area and make me smile. The West Press wishes you a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season!
