Senior year. It’s finally here. If you haven’t thought about it yet, you’ve only got 4 months of actual school left, then 5 months of no-effort coasting to make it to graduation. Before you can reach the point of not-caring and develop a terminal case of “Senior-itis” you must first figure out your plans for after high school. Whether college, the military, or a job- it’s smart to have something planned out. Hopefully, this article can help you get your ducks in a row so you aren’t up a creek without a paddle when various submissions are due.
If you are in need of letters of recommendation, it is always better to ask sooner rather than later. You don’t want to leave rec letters till the last second. That’s a lose-lose situation for you and whomever you ask.
You’ll also need to schedule your senior meeting. This is a chance for you to share your post-high-school plans with your counselor, and get advice on how to get where you want to go. Guidance will start them the week of September 21st. Check your Lakota email for information on this!
If you will be needing your transcript sent anywhere, you will have to request it to be sent through Naviance.
