Lakota West Robotics Club

Danyhea Brown

Are you considering a career path in engineering? Would you like to test your technology skills? If you confidently said yes, Lakota West Robotics Club would be the perfect fit for you.  This club brings Lakota West students together to compete to solve engineering design problems. This club is very important considering technology growing at a faster pace every day; therefore, having this club at Lakota West will keep students updated in the real world and gives students the ability to know how to achieve teamwork.

The competition is a program for inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST). The focus of this club is to allow students who do or do not participate in engineering classes to have the chance to compete in a variety of engineering competitions at the end of the year.  “It shows students how technology fields hold varied opportunities for success and are accessible and rewarding”.  Their yearly competition is in early April or late May. If you are interested they meet in Ms. Markovich’s room every Wednesday.
